Description Stephen Wadeley 2021-09-16 20:10:49 UTC
Description of problem:

If a migration is stopped from a second terminal, not where the migration is running, you will see output like this in the first terminal:

2021-09-15 14:38:59 -0400: Migrating rpm content to Pulp 3 2000/25151Migration failed, You will want to investigate: https://

^^^ needs \n ^^ needs full stop, or "You" should not be a capital.

"You will want to investigate:" is not good style, so rather just say "See task:"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
~]# rpm -q satellite
satellite-6.9.6-1.el7sat.noarch

How reproducible:
every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In terminal 1: satellite-maintain content prepare
2. In terminal 2: satellite-maintain content prepare-abort
3. Check output in terminal 1

Actual results:
2021-09-15 14:38:59 -0400: Migrating rpm content to Pulp 3 2000/25151Migration failed, You will want to investigate:

Expected results:

2021-09-15 14:38:59 -0400: Migrating rpm content to Pulp 3 2000/25151

Migration failed. See task:

Justin,

Should this be on Foreman Maintain or Repositories?

Thanks!

This bugzilla only applies to Satellite 6.9. Since 6.9 reached EOL in November 2022 and there have not been any customer cases opened, I am closing the bugzilla. If there are any concerns with this action, please reach out to me. Thanks!
