Comment 1 RHEL Process Automation 2021-09-16 21:08:33 UTC
This package is being added to RHEL 8.6 at the next minor release. Please remove it from epel after the next RHEL minor release.

Please ping me once this has occurred.

... and a link to instructions for how to remove it would also be helpful.

Based RHEL's six month minor version cadence [0], and since RHEL 8.4 was released on 2021-05-18 [1], you can expect RHEL 8.6 to be released approximately in 2022-05.

Use Fedora's package retirement process [2] to retire an EPEL package.

RHEL 8.6 was released today. I had a few minutes so I went ahead and handled the epel8 branch retirement.

Comment 6 Stefan Berger 2022-05-11 01:17:42 UTC
Thanks. I wouldn't have known how to do it.

Comment 7 Carl George 🤠 2022-05-11 04:15:42 UTC
For posterity:

fedpkg clone libtpms
cd libtpms
git checkout epel8
fedpkg retire 'Added to RHEL 8.6 rhbz#2000328 rhbz#2005136'
