i compared the /etc/printcap of two machines on which printtool was configured the same way. the only difference between the two environments was that one was running redhat 6.2 and the other 7.0. i found that 7.0 had an extra line "lpd bounce=true." after taking this line out, the 7.0 machine was able to print correctly. This might well be the same as bug #35636. chad.bagwell: I have updated LPRng to 3.8.4, and this fixes a bug concerning lpd_bounce. If you can, please test the next release (or beta release, if there is one) and reopen this bug if it persists. |
