Description Dr. Tilmann Bubeck 2006-08-08 09:42:57 UTC
Description of problem:
Whenever I use the right mouse button to open a context menu under OOo it does
not open. Instead there is a short flickering of the window border looking
like another window has opened and closed again in a fast time.

If I use the vanilla OOo from openoffice.org instead of the RH version no
problem occurs.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.0.2

How reproducible:
Right click into text

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Text
2. Right click on text
3.

Actual results:
No window visible

Expected results:
A context window should open

KDE or GNOME ? (kde I suspect), and what exact version ?, i.e. the output from
> rpm -q openoffice.org-core

Comment 2 Dr. Tilmann Bubeck 2006-08-08 10:00:20 UTC
Yes I am using KDE.

openoffice.org-calc-2.0.2-5.17.2
kdebase-3.5.3-0.4.fc5

You might find that the kde theme affects this, which theme ?

Comment 4 Dr. Tilmann Bubeck 2006-08-08 11:22:14 UTC
I check the theme (not possible at the moment). However I would like to point
out, that the same KDE and the same theme work correctly with the vanilla OOo.
So I think the problem is not related to KDE...

I come back tomorrow with a info about changing the theme.

Comment 5 Caolan McNamara 2006-08-08 11:51:29 UTC
We use the GNOME vclplug, not the KDE on under KDE, so it might possibly also
exist on the upstream OOo if you set

> export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk
> /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/swriter

Comment 6 Caolan McNamara 2006-08-29 19:11:15 UTC
Checked on FC-5 with updates and under KDE, ran through the default installed
KDE themes and couldn't reproduce this. I don't doubt that there is a
configuration which triggers it, but I just can't find it.
