@emma: As said in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1883753#c45, I don't think that the additional 'vmcore' is a problem but in fact is the right thing to have. If we want to have an improved interface I suggest to include the vmcore file size into 'kdumpctl estimate'. Then there is one combined interface fo all estimations done for kdump. However, I would like to discuss this first with CEE. They had concerns that customers might take the value given by this option too literally and thus might not take into account that the vmcore size changes with workload.

There are no plans to fix this at the moment. So closing as WONTFIX.
