Description of problem:

I plug in my usb key and it is recognized, but fails to mount.

How reproducible:
You would need the same USB key -- hopefull the log gives enough information to
at least get somewhere.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in USB key
2. Check /var/log/messages
3. Wait for it to be mounted

Happens to me too since I upgraded the kernel:

Still, the device is not mounted. I can manually mount and unmount it only as root.

$ uname -r
2.6.18-1.2200.fc5


This didn't happen with the kernel I had before updating (I forgot which version
it was).

I'm reviewing this bug as part of the kernel bug triage project, an attempt to
isolate current bugs in the Fedora kernel.

maintained.

Please attempt to reproduce this bug with a current version of Fedora (presently
Fedora 8). If the bug no longer exists, please close the bug or I'll do so in a
