device-mapper-multipath is currently based on the upstream 0.8.6 release plus numerous patches.  All the non-rhel specific patches have all been pulled into 0.8.7. Besides this code, the 0.8.7 release includes additional builtin defaults, small fixes for some corner case bugs that don't have Red Hat bugzillas, and some internal changes that have no users visible effects.

There is no specific testing that needs to be done for this rebase, other than the regular regression testing.

There are no specific tests that need to be run for this bug,
since it's just a rebase without many user visable changes. So it just
needs the regular regression tests.
