Description Jan Pazdziora 2021-11-10 11:55:00 UTC
Description of problem:

On default RHEL 9 installation on ppc64le PowerVM machine, the /boot/grub2/grub.cfg contains menuentry 'UEFI Firmware Settings'.

That is weird since Power Systems don't have UEFI.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

grub2-ppc64le-2.06-2.el9.ppc64le

How reproducible:

Deterministic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Provision RHEL 9 on ppc64le.
2. grep -i -A 2 'menuentry.*uefi' /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

Actual results:

	menuentry 'UEFI Firmware Settings' $menuentry_id_option 'uefi-firmware' {
		fwsetup
	}

Expected results:

No UEFI firmware menuentry.
