Looking to the Fixed in Version in the bug#2024245, there is libarchive-3.5.2 version.

We have the 3.5.2 version shipped in all supported Fedora releases.

Can I close this BZ, or is there anything else why it was created?

Okay, as this version is present in all Fedora releases, I'm closing this BZ.

Upstream issue, that tracks the CVE and resolves it in 3.5.2 version: https://github.com/libarchive/libarchive/issues/1565
