Description andreas.petzold 2021-12-02 20:21:47 UTC
Description of problem:

Xrdp packages are built w/o ipv6 support.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

0.9.17

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to configure an ipv6 address in xrdp.ini
2. Start xrdp
3.

Actual results:
Xrdp doesn't start if an ipv6 address is specified in xrdp.ini

Expected results:

Xrdp starts and listens to the specified ipv6 address

Additional info:
Build logs on Koji clearly show that ipv6 support has been disabled.

Comment 1 Bojan Smojver 2021-12-02 20:44:49 UTC
Yeah, that's historical. At some point in the past, xrdp was busted with IPv6 support. Anyhow, I'll remove that, rebuild and produce something that can be tested.

Comment 2 Bojan Smojver 2021-12-02 20:50:41 UTC
Hmm, still experimental in the latest version 0.9.17:

--enable-ipv6 Build IPv6 support (default: no, experimental)

Comment 3 andreas.petzold 2021-12-07 09:17:44 UTC
we would be willing to test it. At our site, we are pushing hard for IPv6 (or at least dual stack) everywhere :-)

Comment 4 Bojan Smojver 2021-12-07 10:17:00 UTC
All right. I'll try to roll a new build out to testing this week, but I may leave it there for a while to get thoroughly tested.
