Description of problem:

Running gvpack fails with

gvpack: error while loading shared libraries: libgvplugin_neato_layout.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

graphviz-2.42.4-1.fc32.x86_64

How reproducible:

Deterministic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. gvpack

Actual results:

gvpack: error while loading shared libraries: libgvplugin_neato_layout.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Expected results:

No error.

Additional info:

I can make the error go away by

ln -s /usr/lib64/graphviz/libgvplugin_neato_layout.so.6 /usr/lib64/libgvplugin_neato_layout.so.6

Issue is still present on Fedora 35:

Is there some additional information needed to get this fixed?

The problem is that it's linking the neato lib dynamically and simultaneously loading it at runtime as a plugin. If it is plugin, it shouldn't be accessible to the linker.

I resolved it the dirty way and statically linked the neato bits to the gvpack. Upstream should restructure the code.
