Description Mark E. Fuller 2021-12-07 14:26:51 UTC
solaar is not presently available for EPEL

Comment 1 Mark E. Fuller 2021-12-08 13:22:56 UTC
Successful build (used for successful install) of solaar and dependencies: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/fuller/solaar/

Comment 2 Mark E. Fuller 2021-12-20 08:27:12 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build solaar in epel8 and epel9?

Comment 3 Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2021-12-20 11:37:04 UTC
Sorry, I didn't notice this immediately because I'm not the default bugzilla assignee despite being de facto main maintainer. Branches requested. May I add you as co-maintainer? Please provide your FAS login.

Comment 4 Mark E. Fuller 2021-12-20 11:41:23 UTC
I'd be happy to help however possible, including being added as a maintainer - my FAS is fuller
Thank you very much

Comment 9 Mark E. Fuller 2021-12-26 14:25:02 UTC
I provided feedback on Bodhi, but to cross-post, the newly-built solaar in EL8 requires python3-xlib >=0.27; EPEL contains v0.26.
I have requested a new build for EPEL: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2035653
