Description Simon Pichugin 2021-12-15 02:36:27 UTC
Your package fails to build with the newest openldap-2.6, which was part of a recent wide Fedora change. More information about Fedora OpenLDAP Change is available here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Openldap_25#How_To_Test.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Additional Information:
If you have an issue with libldap_r depreciation, you can use the following example for fixing your package:

Comment 1 Simon Pichugin 2022-02-01 00:09:10 UTC
Hi Tomas,
The new OpenLDAP build was pushed to Rawhide:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1910731

The deadline for Fedora branching is very close.

The fix for the build issue is probably easy to do (though it may depend on how you do things in the project).
You can find the examples here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/17-ndISXL_cidGYdZZWMM9waok50hW3sxj9F1rAEUVoo/edit?usp=sharing

Also, feel free to drop me an email message in google chat or IRC if you'll have any questions, - spichugi (spichugi)

Thanks!
Simon

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle.
Changing version to 36.

Comment 3 Tomas Halman 2022-02-15 16:25:02 UTC
Hi Simon,

I do not see any hard dependency on libldap_r in libuser. I think that the build issue is in fact build dependency on nscd that has been dropped from Fedora.

The build in koji is running now, x86 has been build already. I will close this bug as soon as I verify the build.

Tomas

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2023-04-25 18:29:24 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 36 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 36 on 2023-05-16.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
'version' of '36'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version'
to a later Fedora Linux version. Note that the version field may be hidden.
Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see it.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora Linux 36 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora Linux, you are encouraged to change the 'version' to a later version
prior to this bug being closed.

Comment 6 Ludek Smid 2023-05-25 19:39:59 UTC
Fedora Linux 36 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2023-05-16.

Fedora Linux 36 is no longer maintained, which means that it
will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we
are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora Linux
please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Note that the version
field may be hidden. Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see
the version field.

If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against an
active release.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
