Hello,

I'd love to get rid of this package entirely,
though I sadly haven't got enough time to proceed further with:
  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1929101

Could your request be resolved by choosing a different package that either is part of RHEL 9 or can be built for EPEL 9 ?

I would be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: jonathanspw), or primary maintainer if you prefer.

It looks like the resolution for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1929101 would now allow this package to be retired (the latest release of python-mysqlclient has the necessary provides/conflicts against python-myaql) if you would build it for EPEL.
