I think it could be valuable to have a boot parameter that would disable creating of default auto connections by NM (and activating of all devices) after switch root. It is disabled by default in RHEL where we enable autoconnections only if there is no explicit network configuration and no kickstart: https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/3481. In Fedora we could use similar mechanism to implement inst.net.noautodefault boot option. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36. Upstream PR: https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/3950 Kickstart test PR: https://github.com/rhinstaller/kickstart-tests/pull/693 This should be fixed in the next anaconda rawhide / f37 build. We've added inst.net.noautodefault option. |
