While I have an idea what might be causing this, I cannot reproduce this issue. If I go to working category in the left pane and go up and down the rom list in the middle pane, nothing bad happens. Is this what is causing the crash for you?

Comment 2 Andrea Musuruane 2021-12-28 09:23:46 UTC
As soon as I select the working category, mame crashes with a core dump on my system.

Comment 3 Julian Sikorski 2021-12-28 12:03:46 UTC
Please may you try this scratch build once it completes:

?

Comment 4 Andrea Musuruane 2021-12-28 13:55:02 UTC
This build is working fine. Thanks!

Comment 5 Julian Sikorski 2021-12-28 13:58:28 UTC
Good to hear. The problem is that the fix is to change the default compiler flags. I have requested an exception:
