Description Andreas Schneider 2022-01-02 08:09:42 UTC
Description of problem:

Building a vulkan projects in the openSUSE build service for Fedora Rawhide fails with the following error:

Fedora_Rawhide       x86_64     unresolvable:

have choice for libvulkan.so.1()(64bit) needed by pipewire-libs: chromium-common vulkan-loader

I don't think that chromium should provide libvulkan!

Comment 1 Tom "spot" Callaway 2022-01-03 20:01:20 UTC
Sadly, Chromium now has its own bundled copy of libvulkan and a customized loader. It should not, however, be providing that to other packages.

This actually broke the installer environment (thanks to François Rigault for figuring out this bug is the cause of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2036724 ).

The provides should be gone in -6, building now: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=80826133

Comment 4 Tom "spot" Callaway 2022-01-06 20:52:29 UTC
And it is really gone in -7.
