@fkargbo @phillipcbailey hi

so this is not nice we need to fix it
since it requires a design and some imagination moving to RFE + low/low

@yzamir It would be nice to replicate this so I can see the issue in order to make a design assessment. Thanks!

@phillipcbailey I believe you mentioned the alignment issue of Running VMs by Template and Inventory cards before if I'm not mistaken.

Some of this problem will be resolved by the updates that have already been made to the Running VMs by Template and Inventory cards which the screenshot here don't include. The new legend of the Running VMs card gives it more height and the spaces added between the items in the Resources section of the Inventory card also gives it more height. I would like to see a screenshot showing the top cards fully as I can't tell if this is because of a lack of items in the Status card. We do need to know what to do if there are no or very few VM-related alerts.

There are some variables in the Details and Inventory cards that also cause the height of those cards to vary, making it much more difficult to align the bottoms of the cards exactly.

@phillipcbailey So basically, my understanding was that all the cards would have fixed heights, measured to be aligned at the bottom. This way, the 'Top Consumers' card will fit flush to the bottom of the Running VMs by Template, Inventory, and Permissions cards. If there are no VM-related alerts we will show an 'empty-state' for this card. As the card gets populated with alerts, they will fill up the card until they pass the bottom at which point the vertical scroll will be activated. (become visible)

Ok, I'll work on making that happen and will let you know if I had any issues. Thanks!

@yzamir@redhat @phillipcbailey I prepared a design mockup to help us get rid of the large empty block of space between the cards. The design can found here: https://marvelapp.com/prototype/81f877i/screen/85580663

The Top Consumers card has been moved to a dedicated tab. Closing.
