Alternatively, if I'm given the right permissions, I can take care of the EPEL branches. I already maintain a few Perl packages in EPEL...

Will you be able to branch and build perl-String-Similarity in EPEL?

I would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on EPEL (FAS lcons).
