This work has finally been completed in Samba 4.15.0.

We rebased to Samba 4.15.0 a couple of months ago already with https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-978ed960ba

Closing with currentrelease as the samba version currently shipped is providing the necessary updates already.
