Description Jens Petersen 2022-01-16 07:22:07 UTC
Description of problem:
I want to build llvm11 for epel9,
which requires this package to build.
Could you please request an epel9 branch
(and also epel8, since I would like to build llvm11 there too)?

Comment 2 Pavel Raiskup 2022-01-16 14:51:08 UTC
Hm, but this be provided in RHEL, I guess.

Comment 3 Pavel Raiskup 2022-01-16 15:08:06 UTC
In EL8 it is in rhel-appstream, FTR.

Comment 4 Michal Schorm 2022-01-17 13:01:50 UTC
Hi Jens,
We started a discussion on how to approach your request.

The move of the 'multilib-rpm-config' package to the CRB repository looks reasonable ATM.

As Pavel pointed out, the package should be part of the AppStream repository of RHEL 8, so you shouldn't have any issue using it there.

Comment 5 Jens Petersen 2022-01-18 05:15:41 UTC
Thanks!

I didn't mention that the reason I need llvm11 is to build ghc for EPEL 9,
since it is needed for ghc.aarch64. So this is blocking that effort.
