Description Steve Traylen 2022-01-18 13:56:28 UTC
Description of problem:

s3cmd cannot be installed from EPEL9 due to missing deps.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

s3cmd-2.2.0-1.el9.noarch

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install s3cmd

Actual results:

Error:
 Problem: conflicting requests
  - nothing provides python3.9dist(python-magic) needed by s3cmd-2.2.0-1.el9.noarch
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

Expected results:

Should be installable

Additional info:

Looks like the package is now called

python3-file-magic.noarch

in EPEL9

Comment 1 Frank Crawford 2022-01-19 08:58:14 UTC
Okay, will see if I can fix the spec file.

Comment 2 Frank Crawford 2022-01-19 10:51:58 UTC
Have checked this, and it is a regression that was addressed in Fedora but was not copied across to EPEL9.

Will test out a fix and then upload a new version.
