Description Joachim Frieben 2006-09-04 08:14:12 UTC
Description of problem:
The "Java" plugin does not get picked up by web browsers ("epiphany")
because no symbolic link from "/usr/lib/gcj-4.1.1/libgcjwebplugin.so"
to "/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins" exists.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libgcj-4.1.1-20

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch "epiphany".
2. Go to a "Java" animated web page.

Actual results:
The "Java" plugin is reported to be missing.

Expected results:
The "Java" applet should be executed by the plugin.

Additional info:
After creating the symbolic link mentioned above, "Java" functionality
is recovered. Until some days ago, "java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-plugin"
ensured the creation of the missing link but has been dropped since
then. Maybe creating this link should go now into the post-install
section of "libgcj"?
