Description ipaul 1999-04-08 11:56:42 UTC
In the sparc version of kernel, the sound is compiled in
kernel, not as module, so sndconfig fail to probe modules
for sound.

On the other hand, the sound support is not so good on sparc
machines.
I have a Ultra1 with CS4231a.

Cristian, is there a reason why the sound modules are not modular on
the sparc?

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 1999-04-08 14:41:59 UTC
the sound is compiled as modules on the current sparc kernels.
