Description Sayan Das 2022-02-19 16:01:04 UTC
Description of problem:

The "Monitor --> Host Status Overview" page of Satellite 7.0 only shows "Build" status information but nothing else.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Satellite 7.0 (Snap 10)

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Satellite 7 and do some content syncing
2. Register a system with satellite and make sure it has some installable errata's
3. Go to "Monitor --> Host Status Overview"

Actual results:

We can only see "Build" status details but nothing else

(Copy + Pasted from UI)

Build
Total: 1
Owned: 0
Total: 0
Owned: 0
Total: 0
Owned: 0
Total	Owned
 Pending installation	0	0
 Installed	1	0
 Token expired	0	0
 Installation error	0	0

Expected results:

I am not exactly sure what that page is supposed to show as it's new in Satellite 7.0 but

A) If it's only designed to show Build status then I don't see any use of it.

B) If it's supposed to show other types of statuses like "Errata" or "Insights" or "Configuration" or "Subscription" or "Execution" etc. then those need to be included.

Additional info:

NA

The page in question was contributed by a community member[1]. If I'm reading it correctly then currently there should be only build status and a bunch of vmware related statuses, if there are any hosts which are vms on vmware. The original author wants to add configuration status to the page as well[2].

@triage team: As this is a feature in the making, could we reconsider the 7.0 flag?

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Based upon feedback during auto-closure, leaving this bugzilla open a while longer for additional investigation; however, it may be closed in a future iteration.

This BZ has been automatically migrated to the issues.redhat.com Red Hat Issue Tracker. All future work related to this report will be managed there.

Due to differences in account names between systems, some fields were not replicated. Be sure to add yourself to Jira issue's "Watchers" field to continue receiving updates and add others to the "Need Info From" field to continue requesting information.

To find the migrated issue, look in the "Links" section for a direct link to the new issue location. The issue key will have an icon of 2 footprints next to it, and begin with "SAT-" followed by an integer. You can also find this issue by visiting https://issues.redhat.com/issues/?jql= and searching the "Bugzilla Bug" field for this BZ's number, e.g. a search like:
