Description Rich Megginson 2022-02-25 23:22:56 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #2058799 +++

Description of problem:
The logging tests clean up by removing the config used during the test. However, they leave /etc/rsyslog.conf like this:

$IncludeConfig /etc/rsyslog.d/*.conf

cloud-init provides /etc/rsyslog.d/21-cloudinit.conf - no other package installed by default provides a file in /etc/rsyslog.d

If cloud-init is not present, then there are no files matching /etc/rsyslog.d/*.conf, and rsyslog has an error at startup, and the tests fail.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. You have to remove cloud-init from the VM (e.g. in a _setup.yml) before running the tests.
2.
3.
