Correct, the Salesforce platform does not perform name validation on policy and policy set wizards. It is up to the administrator or user creating the policies and policy sets to ensure that the names they use are unique and adhere to the naming conventions set by Salesforce. To avoid naming conflicts and ensure that policies and policy sets can be easily identified, it is recommended to establish a clear naming convention and to regularly review and update policies and policy sets as necessary.
