Description Miro Hrončok 2022-03-11 09:48:48 UTC
Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok).

Your package (recorder) Fails To Install in Fedora 37:

can't install recorder-scope:
  - nothing provides libQt5Charts.so.5(Qt_5.15.2_PRIVATE_API)(64bit) needed by recorder-scope-1.1.0-1.fc34.x86_64

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. To reproduce, use the koji/local repo only, e.g. in mock:

    $ mock -r fedora-37-x86_64 --disablerepo='*' --enablerepo=local install recorder-scope

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages

Thanks!

Hello,

This is the first reminder (step 3 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

Hello,

This is the second reminder (step 4 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

Comment 3 Christophe de Dinechin 2022-05-05 08:34:11 UTC
The problem is that qt5-qtcharts is gone.

  - nothing provides libQt5Charts.so.5(Qt_5.15.2_PRIVATE_API)(64bit) needed by recorder-scope-1.1.0-1.fc34.x86_64

Built with qt6-qtcharts successfully, so will update the package accordingly.

Also, noticed that the package is outdated, recorder is now at 1.2.0. I will also update the sources to match.

Comment 4 Mamoru TASAKA 2022-08-01 07:14:00 UTC
Note that as repeatedly announced on devel mailing list, e.g.

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/A564QLAS256XOPIMF6ZF46EOQ5D4YHXD/

this package is going to be RETIRED forcely if no successful build is done
within about 2 weeks.

For now I've submitted https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/recorder/pull-request/1 to rescue this package.

Comment 5 Mamoru TASAKA 2022-08-01 12:35:37 UTC
Oops, policy says "the package will be retired about one week before mass branch (2022-08-09)", so retirement is going to happen
very soon!

Comment 6 Miro Hrončok 2022-08-01 12:47:01 UTC
If you want to maintain the package, I can orphan it instead of retirement and you can take it and build it.

Comment 7 Mamoru TASAKA 2022-08-01 13:13:50 UTC
Well, I just tried looking at this package out of curiosity.

Comment 8 Christophe de Dinechin 2022-08-02 09:54:32 UTC
Successful build submitted https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=90390948

Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok).

All subpackages of a package against which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 37.

Thanks for taking care of it!
