Description Adam Williamson 2022-03-15 02:53:47 UTC
Once again it seems we've decided to back out the DNS-over-TLS feature:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1889901#c17

I'm filing this bug to propose it as an FE for Beta, as we're frozen now and need an FE to get an update in. To me it makes sense that, if we're disabling this, we should get that into Beta, not do it between Beta and Final.

BTW, disabling DNS over TLS makes DNS significantly more reliable, so we *really* need to land this change.

+4 in https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/668 , marking accepted.

I talked to Zbigniew about this, and he's planning to do new builds with DoT disabled soon.

FEDORA-2022-1dd97eaa2b has been submitted as an update to Fedora 36. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2022-1dd97eaa2b

(Can we modify the update to refer to this bug instead of BZ 1889901 so that the tracker bug doesn't get auto-closed?)
