Description Adel Zaalouk 2022-03-22 16:02:53 UTC
Create a NodeFeatureDiscovery instance according to docs errs today because of a wrong spec: https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.10/hardware_enablement/psap-node-feature-discovery-operator.html

"apiVersion: nfd.openshift.io/v1
kind: NodeFeatureDiscovery
metadata:
  name: nfd-instance
  namespace: openshift-nfd
spec:
instance: "" # instance is empty by default
topologyupdater: false # False by default
  operand:
    namespace: openshift-nfd"

Removing the `namespace` field from the operand spec, solves the problem.

TL;DR: Docs needs update
