Thanks for a bug report. The evolution-data-server is a critical path package, several other packages depend on it, not only Evolution, thus major version updates in stable Fedora are considered unsafe. Nonetheless, I can backport that fix only.

seems to work for me. i had a glitch where one entry in calendar got doubled, but i cannot recreate that.
