Description of problem:

It has become harder and harder to update with upstream block layer in linux
kernel for rhel8 since the upstream change in this areas looks seldom slower,
and the change can often be big in each release.

This BZ will track this kind of change, and will try to pull in
more updates if it is possible.

All kinds of bug fixes should be covered first. For other changes, we will
try to pull them in if it is fine to do that.
