Description Filip Balák 2022-05-04 16:23:09 UTC
Description of problem:
Edit button no longer works and this is expected according to https://chat.google.com/room/AAAASHA9vWs/JSg-0SWvwt8. Currently edit operations show in OCM UI error message like:

Error adding add-ons
CLUSTERS-MGMT-400:
undefined
Operation ID: febb02e7-6de7-4e6a-93af-b94d7b46d72d

Edit button should be visually unavailable or the message sent to the user should be more informative.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ocs-operator.v4.10.0
ocs-osd-deployer.v2.0.1
odf-operator.v4.10.0
ocp 4.10.11

How reproducible:
3/3

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Deploy rosa cluster.
2. Deploy ODF Managed Service using managed services (appliance mode) - provider
3. Click on pen in OCM UI to edit the addon.
4. Add new notification email.
5. Save changes.

Actual results:
There is an error message like:

Error adding add-ons
CLUSTERS-MGMT-400:
undefined
Operation ID: febb02e7-6de7-4e6a-93af-b94d7b46d72d

Expected results:
User should not be able to finish editing and should be clearly notified.

Unfortunately, this is not the case, the addon manifest does not allow us to influence any of these paths.
If we want the discussion on this subject to be meaningful I will advise opening a ticket for OCM (I think it is the SDB board, but I am not sure).

Use CLI to edit the parameters
