Description Timothée Ravier 2022-05-16 10:15:16 UTC
Description of problem:

This is a tracker / bug for the work needed for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Silverblue_Kinoite_readonly_sysroot in Anaconda.

The idea is that we will need Anaconda to append 'rw' to the kernel command line and set a configuration value for the ostree repo (sysroot.readonly=true).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

For Fedora 37.

How reproducible:

N/A.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Silverblue
2. Kernel command line contains 'rw'
3. ostree config --repo=/sysroot/ostree/repo get "sysroot.readonly" returns "true"

Additional info:

I can work on this one. Feel free to reach out to setup a meeting to coordinate work.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 37 development cycle.
Changing version to 37.

Closing as this has been released with Fedora 37 but we forgot to update this bug.
