Workaroundable by `cd', the sources are present there at the right place: (gdb) cd /usr/src/debug/gdb-6.5/ Working directory /usr/src/debug/gdb-6.5. (gdb) start Breakpoint 1 at 0x100626f4 Starting program: /usr/bin/gdb main (argc=1, argv=0x1ffffffe238) at gdb/gdb.c:30 30 memset (&args, 0, sizeof args); Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported against rawhide during the development of a Fedora release that is no longer maintained. In order to refocus our efforts as a project we are flagging all of the open bugs for releases which are no longer maintained. Description of problem: gdb fails to find the sources of the debugged inferior at least on ppc64; it works on i386. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gdb-6.5-8.fc6.ppc64 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. gdb /usr/bin/gdb 2. start Actual results: (gdb) start Breakpoint 1 at 0x100626f4 Starting program: /usr/bin/gdb main (argc=1, argv=0x1ffffffe248) at gdb/gdb.c:30 30 gdb/gdb.c: No such file or directory. in gdb/gdb.c (gdb) _ Expected results: (gdb) start Breakpoint 1 at 0x807e501: file gdb/gdb.c, line 28. Starting program: /usr/bin/gdb main (argc=1, argv=0xbf8d8b84) at gdb/gdb.c:28 28 { (gdb) _ Additional info: It works at least on i386.
