FTR, on RHEL 8.6 podman is now at version 4.0.2, so there is no limitation on podman side to stay with the old podman-compose version. If there's a BZ for adding python-dotenv to EPEL-8, please have it block this bug. There is a very old BZ here, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1809504 Now it seems too late, with RHEL8.6 podman-compose from EPEL8 is not usable anymore. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2115988 Working on python-dotenv. *** Bug 2120220 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** FEDORA-EPEL-2022-2b9427d979 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 8. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2022-2b9427d979 FEDORA-EPEL-2022-2b9427d979 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 8 testing repository.
