Description Need Real Name 2006-10-06 01:14:33 UTC
Description of problem:
The pup application does not follow the GNOME HIG specifications
(http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/) for label capitalization,
widget layout, and button layout.

Also, the "updates available" list box does not fill the entire dialog by
default, and the list box does not resize if the dialog is resized and the
"update details" expander is expanded.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pirut-1.2.3-1

Capitalization:
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/design-text-labels.html#layout-capitalization

Window Layout:
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/design-window.html#layout-dialogs

I am attaching an updated pup.glade file to fix these UI problems.

Thanks for the patch -- given where we are in the cycle, I can't apply this at
the moment, but I'll take a look and hopefully get it in for a pretty quick
post-fC6 update

Comment 3 Need Real Name 2007-01-12 07:07:37 UTC
Any chance of getting this in now that FC7 is in development?

Comment 4 Matthew Miller 2007-04-06 16:11:59 UTC
Fedora Core 5 and Fedora Core 6 are, as we're sure you've noticed, no longer
test releases. We're cleaning up the bug database and making sure important bug
reports filed against these test releases don't get lost. It would be helpful if
you could test this issue with a released version of Fedora or with the latest
development / test release. Thanks for your help and for your patience.

[This is a bulk message for all open FC5/FC6 test release bugs. I'm adding
myself to the CC list for each bug, so I'll see any comments you make after this
and do my best to make sure every issue gets proper attention.]

Sorry that I can no longer provide feedback. I have switched from Fedora to
openSUSE.

Comment 6 Matthew Miller 2007-04-06 19:46:41 UTC
Still a good suggestion. Moving to devel. Thanks for your help.

Basically committed (hand-diffed and applied) to CVS.
