Description Roman Hodain 2022-06-17 08:25:53 UTC
The satellite system should be able to search for systems that are not registered to Insights or stopped reporting the data for analyses. This will ensure that the systems are well-protected. As the satellite is the central management system for the hosts, it should be able to report this functionality.

Comment 5 Peter Ondrejka 2023-01-27 10:05:58 UTC
Checked on Satellite 6.13 snap 8: insights_client_report_status and insights_inventory_sync_status search options have been added, but they don't seem to provide a way to recognize non-insights hosts as requested in the problem description. So for example, insights_client_report_status=no_report lists misbehaving insights clients, but there's no option to list hosts not registered to insights at all. We could add something like insights_client_report_status=not_registered.

Comment 6 Peter Ondrejka 2023-02-01 09:11:11 UTC
Wasn't aware of the possibility to run 'null? insights_client_report_status' to get not yet registered hosts.

Comment 7 Peter Ondrejka 2023-02-15 07:37:13 UTC
Verified on Satellite 6.13 snap 10
