Can you start X once the system has been installed? In either case, please provide the Xorg.0.log file. Also is it possible to get the anaconda X.log off the system in another way? Using a usb flash disk maybe? This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. We will need the /tmp/ramfs/X.log from the failed X run to work this issue. You can start dhclient from the installer if you need network access to get this file. Without the X log from the affected configuration, we do not have sufficient information to work on this issue. If this is still an issue for you in a released version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, please attach the relevant X log, and reopen this bug. |
