Created attachment 1893782 [details]
Screenshot of the error at boot.

Description of problem:
=======================
Errors during boot at dracut-pre-udev with kernel 5.18.x — but only if dracut-config-generic* is installed.

Apparently it needs /sbin/sysctl for something, after modprobing sunrpc.

Version-Release number of selected component:
=============================================
dracut-056-1.fc36.x86_64
dracut-config-generic-056-1.fc36.x86_64
kernel-5.18.7-200.fc36.x86_64

How reproducible:
=================
dnf install dracut-config-generic
dracut --regenerate-all -f
reboot

results:
========
The error messages shown in the attached image.

Pretty sure this causes the media check to fail on recent composes as well as the checkiso service cannot be started.

Comment 2 Brandon Nielsen 2022-07-11 17:50:23 UTC
I still see "sh line 1: /sbin/sysctl: No such file or directory" on a HP Compaq 8501w BIOS machine, and a failure to verify install media afterwards, with the Fedora-Rawhide-20220711.n.0 compose[0]. Based on discussion on today's QA meeting, the two problems may not be related. Either way, I will attach a picture of a media check failure (I can't otherwise capture the output and can't reproduce in a VM).
