Description Renaud Métrich 2022-07-15 14:20:21 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently TBOOT and BLS are incompatible: TBOOT creates entries in `/boot/grub2/grub.cfg` directly. My guess is it's because TBOOT configuration snippets are not supported by BLS for now.

Bringing TBOOT support into BLS would solve many issues, including BZ #2107609.
Another issue it would solve is making sure the latest "kernel with tboot" is booted when updating the kernel. For now such functionality is hard to implement because /lib/kernel/install.d/20-grub.install ignores TBOOT completely.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

grub2-pc-2.06-27.el9_0.7.x86_64

How reproducible:

N/A

Renaud,

This feature request cant be granted now due to following reasons:
a. Intel is looking into deprecating tboot.
b. the attached customer case is closed
