It depends on what's needed. I guess that not many packages have migrated to python-oracledb yet. python-oracledb would be a new package as it's not a drop-in replacement (`import cx_Oracle` vs. `import oracledb`). Not really related but python-oracledb is now available in Fedora and EPEL. The current rawhide package builds without modification in EPEL9. Please branch and build python-cx-oracle in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain python-cx-oracle in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package stevetraylen; please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/<package>/adduser |
