Description Andrew John Hughes 2022-07-29 14:48:15 UTC
It appears that a change was backported to 8u in the last cycle
that breaks compatibility when using the "user.dir" property:

https://mail.openjdk.org/pipermail/jdk8u-dev/2022-July/015249.html

This was a unilateral change in OpenJDK 8u and so is not in Oracle's
builds. It breaks some user applications, notably older Gradle plugins.

We should revert this change using the upstream 8u345 release as soon as possible and before the October security update where possible.
