Description of problem:

Seeing these on an old dual pentium III Dell server:

APIC error on CPU1: 00(02)
APIC error on CPU0: 00(01)
APIC error on CPU0: 01(02)
APIC error on CPU1: 02(01)
APIC error on CPU0: 02(01)
APIC error on CPU1: 01(02)
APIC error on CPU0: 01(02)
APIC error on CPU1: 02(01)

anything to be worried about?

How reproducible:
Very.  Shows up at boot time, not sure how many after that.

I've noticed these seem to be popping up more and more on older boxes. My
ancient quad ppro spits them out frequently when its under high load for example.

APIC messages are retransmitted in event of errors, so it's just informational
that the hardware is crap :)

They can sometimes occur on modern hardware too. My turion laptop generates them
periodically. Again, I've chalked it up to hardware glitches. The exact reason
for them occuring could be anything, but they're usually safe to ignore.
