Description Witold Baryluk 2022-08-03 17:40:50 UTC
Debian / Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, NixOS, all package static libpcap in their packages.

Would be very useful to have this in Fedora and Centos too.

Hi Witold,

as per https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#packaging-static-libraries, packages SHOULD exclude static libs.

Hi Michal.

Thanks for the answer. This is very disappointing, to say the least.

Please close the issue.

Comment 3 Michal Ruprich 2022-08-09 05:36:43 UTC
Hi Witold,

sorry about that, the Fedora guidelines are stricter in this regard than in other distros. Closing the bug.

Regards,
Michal
