Patch for kexec-tools none

Description Terry Loftin 2006-10-19 20:34:03 UTC
Description of problem:
kdump kernel can hang in purgatory on ia64 Montecito processors
with 24 MB of cache when the command line parameters are a
certain length. See URL for a complete description.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Tested with rhel5, beta 1 milestone 5 on ia64

How reproducible:
Use a Montecito processor with 24-MB of cache. Excercise kdump.
If it works, add 16 spaces to the middle of the kernel command line
parameter and try again. It should hang with one, but not the other.

Thanks - please email if you have any questions.
