Description Andrew John Hughes 2022-08-18 17:52:08 UTC
It appears that a change was backported to 17u in the last cycle that causes HotSpot to crash under some workloads:

https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8292260

The change was backed out in both OpenJDK and Oracle 17u releases in an interim 17.0.4.1 release.

We should revert this change using the upstream release as soon as possible and before the October security update where possible.
