Comment 1 Jacob 2022-08-23 10:28:12 UTC
This image type was dropped temporarily disabled. We were never successfully building it. As can be seen here: https://github.com/osbuild/osbuild-composer/blob/e9a1e66cbe8231b8ec84acab0d0f26539b868f33/internal/distro/rhel8/distro.go#L625, the edge-simplified-installer requires several customizations related to FDO. These were never supported by cockpit-composer. Ideally, these will be supported in 9.2/8.8.

Comment 2 Yi He 2022-08-23 14:23:47 UTC
ok, we can do it in 9.2/8.8

RHEL for Edge Simplified Installer requires FDO configuration, which means the create image wizard should have one more step to configure FDO settings.
