Open a samba from a Windows Vista RC1 or RC2 and attempt to delete a
folder.  Windows shows the folder as deleted.  Refresh the share window and the
folder reappears.  No problem deleting a folder from the share using Windows
XP.

I initially ran into this problem with the stock RHEL samba packages: 3.0.10-
1.4E.9.i386.rpm.  I rebuild the RHEL 5 beta packages for samba, but the problem 
remained.  I even rebuild the RHEL 5 packages using current Samba 3.0.23c 
source from samba.org with no luck.

I raised a bug over at samba.org and have been in contact with a couple members

I am uploading my smb.conf and the samba log file for the Vista RC2 workstation 
displaying log level 10 output for the directory delete attempt.

This issue appears to have been fixed by the Samba team (patch for 3.0.24.),
please refer comment #20.  Bug id=4188 has been closed as fixed.
