Description momran 2022-09-08 14:05:56 UTC
Description of problem:

Customer requests end-to-end encryption to be implemented for virt-who communications between a virtualization host and Red Hat Satellite server.

Customer finds [0] not sufficient to protect the username and password utilized by virt-who to connect to the virtualization host, especially when configuring virt-who for Hyper-V as an "Administrator" account or a user account assigned to the following groups (Windows 2012 Server): "Hyper-V Administrators" and "Remote Management Users" is required (refer to [1] for more details).

Business Justification:

An "Administrator" account or a user account assigned to the following groups (Windows 2012 Server): "Hyper-V Administrators" and "Remote Management Users" is quiet sensitive, and customer would like to ensure that these login credentials cannot be sniffed.
